Coronavirus in Argentina: 18 deaths and 416 infections are reported in the last 24 hours

The Ministry of Health of the Nation reported that This Monday, October 11, 18 deaths and 416 new coronavirus infections were registered in Argentina.

With these figures, The country accumulates a total of 5,266,275 positive cases since the beginning of the pandemic, while the deaths are 115,491.

On the other hand, the national health portfolio indicated that there are currently 967 people with covid-19 hospitalized in intensive care. Meanwhile, to date, 17,092 active positive cases have been registered throughout the country.

What’s more, In the last 24 hours, 16,623 tests were carried out, with a positivity rate of 2.50%.

The last deaths correspond to 12 men (7 from the province of Buenos Aires, 3 from the province of Corrientes, 1 from the province of Córdoba and 1 from the province of La Rioja) and 6 women (5 from the province of Buenos Aires and 1 from the province of Mendoza).


Of the 416 new infections, 119 are from the province of Buenos Aires, 76 from the city of Buenos Aires, 12 from Catamarca, 3 from Chaco, 4 from Chubut, 45 from Corrientes, 32 from Córdoba, 9 from Entre Ríos, 2 from Formosa, 10 from Jujuy, 3 from La Pampa, 25 from La Rioja, 6 from Mendoza, 0 from Misiones, 9 from Neuquén, 19 from Río Negro, 8 from Salta, 2 from San Juan, 3 from San Luis, 0 from Santa Cruz, 13 from Santa Fe, 2 from Santiago del Estero, 0 from Tierra del Fuego and 14 from Tucumán.
