Coronavirus: Córdoba reported more than 16,000 chaos and 18 deaths

The Ministry of Health of the Province of Córdoba reported this Friday, January 14, a total of 16,096 new cases of Covid-19 infections.

In this way, the province has accumulated 756,219 cases so far, of which 89,529 are active.

In addition, 18 deaths from Covid-19 were reported in the province of Córdoba during the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic to 7,164 deaths.

Likewise, in the different diagnostic access strategies, a total of 50,066 studies were carried out today, of which 5,815 correspond to PCR and 44,251 to antigen tests.

As for the recovered people, the proportion of discharges in relation to the total number of confirmed cases in the province of Córdoba is 81%.

Occupancy of critical beds

Regarding the most serious cases that require assistance in hospitals, as of this Friday, 797 people are hospitalized due to Covid-19 pathology, which represents an occupation of 22.75% of the assigned beds.

Of the total number of hospitalized people, 438 (54.95%) correspond to mild cases in the common room with medical support and 359 (45.05%) to intensive care patients, of which 116 (13.67%) are with mechanical respiratory assistance.

Due to inconveniences in the national data system, this Friday it was not possible to detail the number of cases and deaths specified by locality.
