The Vice Minister of Culture, Christian Calderón Santizo, announced the agenda that will be developed as part of the dawn and celebrations of Independence that will be held from Tuesday, September 14, starting at 5.30 p.m.
As reported, there will be a whole cultural festival that has been prerecorded days in advance, so there will be no face-to-face activity in the Plaza de la Constitución or the National Palace of Culture.
Only the reading of the Act of Independence and the raising of the flag will take place at the time, but without an audience, to close with the traditional 21 cannon shots at dusk.
Once the formal part of the event is over, the civic-cultural agenda will continue.
Among the activities that are planned for September 15 is a projection in which ten Guatemalan artists will participate, who will make works of art in commemoration of the Bicentennial.
Later, there will be a presentation of the Concert Marimba of the National Palace of Culture.
Some of the activities also include the National Ballet of Guatemala, who will perform with different national melodies.
