FC Bayern Munich also lost their fourth game in the Euroleague. Not even 48 hours after the 70:73 at Unics Kazan, the Bundesliga club was now also defeated by Zenit St. Petersburg. Meanwhile, Alba Berlin welcomes Vitoria Gasteiz from Spain.

Not even 48 hours after the 70:73 at Unics Kazan, the Bundesliga club lost 71:79 (35:43) at the Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg at the start of the fourth matchday on Thursday evening. This means that Bayern are waiting for their first sense of achievement this season in the highest European competition.
In particular, the guests did not get a grip on the former NBA professional Jordan Mickey at first. He already scored 18 points in the first half. Darrun Hilliard was most successful at Munich with 24 points.
The guests got into the game badly in the Sibur Arena and were 0:13 behind after five minutes. FCB captain Nihad Djedovic scored the first points. “We weren’t ready, and St. Petersburg hit every throw,” said coach Andrea Trinchieri at half-time.
His team should improve, but Bayern were only able to use Zenit’s nervousness for a short time to take the lead (52: 60/30.). Corey Walden was primarily responsible for the upturn. A good third quarter was ultimately not enough, because the home side caught up in the final phase and in the end kept the upper hand. Bayern gave up the last quarter with 11:25.
