Bars in Guadalajara that do not request a certificate may be fined or closed

Those bars, restaurant-bars, clubs, casinos or event halls in Guadalajara that do not ask people over 18 years of age for their certificate or proof of anticovid vaccination, or a negative PCR test to enter, could receive a fine and even be closed.

The Department of Inspection and Surveillance of the Guadalajara City Council reported this Friday that places that fail to comply with the measure may be entitled to an economic penalty of 1,050 to 10,500 pesos, “depending on the seriousness of the fault.”

If during a subsequent operation a recurrence is detected, after the verbal warning that is made so that the lines of business comply with said measure, the establishment may even be closed.

For reports of non-compliance with the new measures, the mayor’s office made the number 33-3837-2600 ext. 2505, the social networks of the Government of Guadalajara and in person at the offices of the Directorate of Inspection and Surveillance located at Calle Cristóbal Colón #324, almost on the corner of Calle Miguel Blanco, in the Central Zone.

It was Monday when the new measures for the prevention of COVID-19 infections were published in the official newspaper of the State of Jalisco, which will be in force from this Friday until February 12.

Among them, it is established that in bars, clubs, casinos, event halls, convention centers and stadiums, as well as in concerts and massive events, people over 18 years of age must prove that they have at least one dose of vaccination against COVID-19. 19, or present a negative result of a PCR test carried out in the previous 48 hours.

“The vaccination scheme may be accredited with the vaccination certificate issued by the Federal Government, the vaccination ballot delivered in Jalisco or another federative entity, or with the proof of the vaccination applied abroad”, indicates the document that will be valid by at least until next February 12.
