Another 16 people die this Monday from COVID-19


Yesterday, Monday, the Jalisco Health Secretariat notified 16 new deaths associated with the COVID-19 virus, with which they add a total of 15,181 deaths since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The Secretariat also notified 1,652 confirmed infections in the last 24 hours, with which there are already 359 thousand 705 accumulated cases.

Guadalajara is the municipality that accumulates the most cases since March of last year with a total of 118 thousand 349 infections, followed by Zapopan (83 thousand 005), Tlaquepaque (23 thousand 096) and Puerto Vallarta (20 thousand 208), which It has already surpassed the municipality of Tlajomulco (20,068) in accumulated cases.

Regarding active cases, the Federal Ministry of Health reported that Jalisco reports to this day 4,218 patients with symptoms presented in the last 14 days.

At the federal level, the health agency reported 221 new deaths from COVID-19 on Monday, adding a total of 267 thousand 969 deaths, in addition to another four thousand 161 new cases to reach three million 516 thousand 043 infections since the start of the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.
