Ângela/Neide and Jô/Leo Vieira compete in South American Beach Volleyball

In their careers, Ângela/Neide and Jô/Leo Vieira won a total of 25 medals in stages of the South American Beach Volleyball Circuit, 12 of them gold. And they go in search of new achievements for the collection. As of this Friday, the 14th, they will form the two pairs that represent Brazil in the third stage of the competition, which takes place in Montevideo, Uruguay.

“It is always a pleasure to represent Brazil. We will do our best to bring another medal to this competition”, says Ângela, who has been on the South American podium seven times, four of them in the highest place. Neide won nine medals in the tournament, five of which were gold; Jô won six (two golds); and Leo Vieira, three (one gold).

In the South American Circuit, the pairs add points for the country. The first stage of the 2021/2022 season was played last year in Santiago, Chile. George/André Stein took the gold and Thamela/Elize Maia, the bronze. On Monday, last week, another gold with Adrielson/Arthur Mariano, in San Juan (ARG). Brazil leads the male ranking and is second in the female ranking.


The other stages planned for the 2021/2022 season will be in Chile, from February 4th to 6th; in Neuquén, Argentina, from February 11 to 13; in Mollendo, Peru, March 4-5; and in Cochabamba, Bolivia, from March 11 to 13. The final tournament, which brings together the best countries of the season, is scheduled for Uberlândia (MG), from May 13th to 15th.
