A man dies after being run over on the highway in Pinar del Río

A man was killed by a car on Friday on a highway in Pinar del Río.

In the Facebook group ‘BUSES & TRUCK ACCIDENTS for more experience and fewer victims!’, the user Sergio José Valded Zayas, shared photos of the event, in which the body of the victim is seen on the road covered by a sheet.

“A deceased, highway leaving Pinar del Rio, I do not know the causes,” he said.

Last Sunday, January 9, a pedestrian died when he was run over by a taxi when trying to cross the Monumental highway, in an area near the Santa Fe bridge, in the Havana municipality of Guanabacoa.

Users of the Facebook page ‘Bus and Truck Accidents’ commented that this area is usually very dark and that it is difficult for people to cross the street, especially at night, because it is a fast road, poorly marked and poorly lit.

“Those places where there are intersections or bridges, where there are pedestrian crossings, should be well lit and unfortunately there is tremendous darkness in that place,” said a visitor.
